Healing Together:
The Family Program

Support for the loved ones of those struggling with substance abuse and mental health.

Family Coaching

Family healing begins with understanding

When someone is struggling with addiction or mental health, it affects everyone they know. Living through a loved one’s struggles is one of the hardest things anyone can go through. The worry, confusion, and the pain of not knowing how to help can make anyone feel lost.  Our Family Coaching helps hold the space for both your loved one and family to heal together. You will learn how to best support your loved one and yourselves.

What it is family coaching?

Families enrolled in Touchstone or our Case Management program can meet once per week with a fully licensed clinician for virtual family coaching. Each session blends psychoeducation with practical skill-building in a pro-dependent framework. Together you will move past blame, learn how to set boundaries and create a healthy relationship with your loved one to best support them through their journey.

How will it help?

  • Clear language for tough moments: boundaries, validation, and de-escalation
  • Tools to rebuild trust
  • Structure for communicating needs and expectations
  • Guidance for supporting recovery while maintaining your own wellbeing
  • A dedicated professional you can turn to when you don’t know what to do
  • Learning what enabling is and how to set healthy boundaries

What is pro-dependent?

Pro-dependent is a methodology whose goal is to teach an attachment-focused model that reframes the way in which support is provided to loved ones struggling with addiction. In rejecting pathology labels and focusing on connection, healthier relationships can form to support mutual healing between those that are struggling and the ones who care for them.

Family Education & Support Group

When a loved one is struggling with mental health or addiction, families often find themselves isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure how to help. Many don’t realize that recovery isn’t just for the individual struggling. It is for the family and friends as well.

Our Family Education & Support Group is a monthly virtual gathering where families can learn, connect, and breathe again. Guided by Dr. Christina Raphael, each session brings clarity and peace of mind to the recovery process. Loved ones are empowered with new skills that encompass communication in crisis, along with learning how to balance support and self-care.

Families are brought together in a supportive space to share experiences, ask questions, and discover they’re not alone. It’s a place to replace guilt with understanding, frustration with a framework, and fear with hope.

These sessions remind every parent, partner, and sibling that healing happens together and that no one needs to go through the process alone.

Topics explored include:
  • Understanding addiction, recovery, and mental health through a compassionate lens
  • Communicating with empathy and clarity
  • Boundaries that protect relationships
  • The family system and how change affects everyone
  • Staying connected while letting go of control
  • Prodependency vs. Codependency
