Our Program

At Arch to Freedom, we’ve built a comprehensive, holistic program that provides truly customized care for each Guest. At the heart of it all is Case Management, where a personal coach works with you to craft an Individualized Growth Plan and connects you to the full range of support and services available—both within Arch and in the abundant South Florida recovery community. Case management empowers you to set and achieve personal goals—perhaps even ones you never thought possible.

Each day, you’ll have the flexibility to engage in a variety of services and support, depending on what benefits you most. Our Adventure Coordinator leads bi-weekly outings designed to push boundaries and build confidence. Our Director of Spirituality offers one-on-one guidance and facilitates meditation, breathwork, and qi-gong groups. Our Recovery Advocates are available 24/7/365 for personal support whenever you need it. You can also join a workout class, participate in a clinician-led group run by an Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or take part in community outings and therapeutic events throughout the month.

While we offer a wide range of services, we always prioritize your individual goals and schedule. Most of our Guests are balancing work, school, and/or 12-step recovery, and we fully support them in seeking additional clinical and psychiatric care outside of Arch when needed. Our approach ensures that you engage with our programming at a level that makes sense for you, based on your unique recovery journey and stage of growth.

Case Management

Case management is a comprehensive and collaborative approach to support Residents in achieving their goals and accessing the necessary resources and services to improve their well-being. It is a client-centered process that involves assessing needs, developing a plan, coordinating services, and monitoring progress to ensure effective and efficient care.

The case manager serves as a central point of contact, coordinating all aspects of care and advocating for the Resident’s best interests.

While Case Management can involve transportation to and from appointments, support in accessing clinical services, or budgeting and planning, it’s often just a time for mentorship and processing of the struggles a person new to Recovery experiences. Case management can be done on outings, in the house, or during a crisis.

While Arch to Freedom provides in house Case Management and requires all Residents engage in the service for  the first three months after enrollment, we work with Clients who are receiving Case Management services from other providers.

Case Management is more comprehensive than sponsorship. Arch to Freedom’s Case Managers are Certified Recovery Coaches who receive on-going training and supervision by a licensed clinician.

Case Management isn’t just a part of our program—it’s a program within the program and the foundation of what we do. It serves as the launching point for every Guest’s Individualized Growth Plan, ensuring they have the structure and support needed to succeed.

Our Case Managers, all trained and supervised by a Master’s-level clinician, bring unique skills and lived experience to support our diverse community. Many are peers in recovery, offering not only clinically informed insight but also genuine connection to those navigating similar challenges.

Each Guest is assigned a dedicated Case Manager who works closely with them several times a week. Together, they build a plan that extends beyond goal-setting, focusing on life skills, career or education development, budgeting and financial planning, time management, and personal recovery. Case Managers provide hands-on guidance in everything from resume building, interview prep, and job search to budgeting and structuring a daily schedule. They also help Guests engage in the abundant South Florida 12-step recovery community, ensuring they have access to meetings, sponsorship, and peer connections that reinforce long-term sobriety.

Beyond the walls of Arch, Case Managers connect Guests to outside services, support groups, and resources, creating a comprehensive, wraparound approach to personal growth. At every step, compassion, accountability, and individualized support drive our Case Management process, empowering Guests to build a strong foundation for lasting success.

As a Level-3 FARR accredited Recovery Program, we provide the highest level of services to our residents, including 24/7 and overnight awake staff.

Medication Compliance Support involves strategies to support residents in adhering to their medication regimens. This includes reminders, pill organizers, medication synchronization, direct oversight or other tools and techniques to help individuals take their medications as prescribed. Adherence support is crucial for optimal therapeutic outcomes and to prevent medication-related complications

Sober celebrations mark significant milestones in residents’ recovery journeys, such as anniversaries of sobriety, regaining driving privileges, developing a career, or program completion. They acknowledge individual achievements, reinforcing the value of sobriety and personal growth. We come together as a community to support these events for all of our Residents.

For Residents without cars or driving privileges, our operations team assists in transportation to clinical and medical appointments, grocery shopping, NA or AA Meetings and support groups. Additionally, all  of our residents are offered bicycles for recreation and commuting nearby.

Every Guest at Arch to Freedom receives dedicated support tailored to their unique journey. While our foundation remains the same—providing structure, accountability, and community—each person’s experience looks different. We recognize that recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all, and our approach reflects that.

Case Managers are carefully matched with each Guest based on individual needs, life circumstances, and where they are in their recovery. Together, they build a plan that prioritizes personal growth while allowing flexibility in how they engage with our community. Some may focus on career development and education, while others may need deeper support in mental health, 12-step recovery, or life skills.

Our entire team, including our Recovery Advocates on site 24/7, plays an active role in holding each Guest accountable to their plan. While many are balancing work, school, therapy, health and wellness, and 12-step recovery, the way they engage in these areas varies—with different levels of intensity and focus based on what will best serve their long-term success.

At Arch, we don’t believe in rigid, one-size-fits-all programming. Instead, we provide a dynamic, supportive environment where Guests can build momentum, develop independence, and create a sustainable path forward—on their own terms.

Fun &
Adventure

Community events are designed to foster a sense of belonging, connection, and fun among Residents,  while promoting a healthy and substance-free lifestyle. These events provide opportunities to engage in social activities, build supportive relationships, and develop new interests. They contribute to the overall therapeutic environment and help residents develop a sense of normalcy in their recovery journey.

Promoting holistic well-being, wellness activities like yoga sessions, meditation classes, or mindfulness workshops are led on a weekly basis. These activities help Residents reduce stress, improve physical and mental health, and develop adaptive coping mechanisms.

Organizing outings to parks, beaches, hiking trails, or recreational centers allows residents to engage in physical activities and enjoy the outdoors.

Workshops on relapse prevention, life skills development, career planning, financial management, or other topics relevant to residents’ recovery and future success are organized based on the needs of the milieu. These workshops provide valuable knowledge, and empower residents to make informed decisions and set meaningful goals.

Nothing strengthens confidence and connection like adventure. Our Adventure Coordinator, Brian Nealy, leads incredible outings, taking residents kayaking, snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, horseback riding, and through high-ropes courses. South Florida is full of outdoor opportunities, and we make sure to take advantage of them. Personal growth and rebuilding a life in recovery should include fun, community, and the thrill of pushing your own limits.

Beyond outdoor adventures, we bring the fun closer to home with regular outings and community events. Sometimes, it’s as simple as a movie night or a big group dinner on Atlantic Ave. Other times, we take things up a notch—hitting the Drive Shack, tackling the Extreme Action Fun Park, or catching a Marlins game.

Life is meant to be lived, and we show our Guests that recovery isn’t just about healing—it’s about experiencing everything life has to offer.

Health & Spirituality

Spiritual events are designed to nurture the internal dimension of recovery, and support residents in deepening their understanding of the Self. These events provide opportunities for residents to find meaning and purpose, and develop a sense of connection to something greater than themselves. Spiritualility encompasses a range of activities and practices that cater to all beliefs and traditions.

Our Residents come from diverse religious and social backgrounds, and we don’t adhere to any single ethos in our spiritual practices. We emphasize unity and common ground rather than a specific faith, denomination, or practice.

Brian Ritter, our Spiritual coach is available to all of our residents to mentor in mindfulness and meditative practices. A student of the spiritual arts for over 20 years, Brian’s services include Tai Chi, Qi Gong, BreathWork and Acupuncture. A Taoist Priest, Brian holds deep beliefs about the efficacy of Indigenous healing traditions.

A well-rounded life includes both physical well-being and spiritual growth. Spirituality is about finding deeper meaning, connection, and purpose—whether through personal reflection, relationships, or something greater. Our Spirituality Director, Brian Ritter, is both a teacher and lifelong student of nearly every spiritual and religious tradition. He offers weekly coaching and guidance for those looking to deepen their understanding, along with qi-gong, breathwork, and meditation classes open to the entire community.

Spirituality is also a core component of the 12-step path and many other recovery approaches. Our entire staff provides coaching and accountability to support this process, helping Guests integrate spiritual principles into their recovery journey in a way that feels meaningful to them.

Physical health is just as vital. We provide access to gym passes, an onsite gym, pools, and even a cold plunge to promote overall wellness. Many of our Case Managers assist with nutrition, meal prep, and basic fitness guidance, helping Guests create sustainable routines that support both mind and body.

Pete Thunem (letters), one of our veteran Case Managers and a certified Personal Trainer, leads a weekly workout class and offers one-on-one personal training. His personalized approach combines physical training, mindset work, and recovery coaching, creating a unique blend of fitness and peer support. Through individualized training, he helps Guests develop exercise and nutrition routines that align with their recovery goals.

Caring for the body and spirit is one of the most powerful ways to support the mind and enhance overall well-being. We believe these are essential components of a successful, fulfilling life, and we’re committed to helping our Guests build a foundation that supports long-term health, balance, and recovery.

Recovery and mental health go hand in hand. As a dual-diagnosis aftercare program, we provide support for individuals from all backgrounds, regardless of their history or diagnosis. While we have years of experience helping those struggling with substance use, our team also receives ongoing clinical training to ensure we can effectively support a wide range of mental health challenges.

At Arch, care doesn’t stop when programming ends. Our Program Director and team of Recovery Advocates provide 24/7/365 support, offering constant guidance, accountability, and informal peer support to our entire community. Outside of case management and structured programming, we ensure that each Guest’s medical, clinical, and psychiatric care is a top priority. We work closely with top clinicians and psychiatrists to provide comprehensive, individualized care.

Medication monitoring is another key part of our program. We ensure that every Guest has access to their prescribed medications and stays compliant with their clinical protocols. Beyond medical care, we offer a well-rounded approach to healing, with life skills classes, 12-step meetings, clinician-led groups, and therapeutic programming built into the schedule.

At Arch to Freedom, we take a holistic approach to aftercare—covering all angles of recovery to create a strong, sustainable foundation for lasting success and transformation.

Touchstone Program

The Touchstone Program is the cornerstone of our wraparound services, offering the highest level of structure, support, and care at Arch to Freedom. With built-in Case Management, 24/7 staff involvement, clinician-led groups, and additional services, it provides the most comprehensive support available. This program is offered in our most luxurious and spacious homes and serves as the starting level of care for most Guests and their families.

Designed for those who need more intensive care and guidance, the Touchstone Program includes complete medication monitoring, life skills coaching, career development, and enhanced recovery support. Many Guests in this program simply require more time, attention, and structure as they build the foundation for long-term success.

For those seeking personalized, hands-on support in a high-accountability environment, Touchstone is the gold standard—ensuring every Guest has the tools, resources, and guidance they need to thrive.

Core Program

Our Core Program is designed for residents who have progressed from the Touchstone level of care and are well on their way to long-term success. It serves as a step-down program, offering more independence while still providing structure and access to key support. Some Guests may enter the Core Program directly if they are highly self-motivated, engaged, and have already received significant support prior to admission.

While the Core Program still offers many of the services available at Arch to Freedom, it is designed for those who already have a solid plan and routine in place. Case Management remains optional and can be added if needed, but it is not required. Recovery Advocates are present daily, though their focus is primarily on residents in the Touchstone Program. Clinician-led groups, complete medication monitoring, and certain outings and events are not included at this level of care.

The Core Program is ideal for those who are ready to take more ownership of their recovery and growth, maintain structure and accountability, and continue building the skills needed for long-term success in a more independent setting.
