Privacy Policy
Effective July 1, 2026 · Version 1.0
Arch to Freedom (“Arch to Freedom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a network of recovery residences and transitional-living programs. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information for visitors to our website and for the individuals and families we serve. We take privacy seriously — it is at the heart of recovery.
Our commitment to confidentiality
The privacy of the people in our care comes first. Information about a resident’s participation, treatment, or recovery is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the federal confidentiality rules for substance use disorder programs (42 CFR Part 2) — among the strongest privacy protections in U.S. law.
- We do not disclose a resident’s information without written consent, except in the narrow circumstances the law specifically allows (for example, a medical emergency, or a report required by law).
- A resident decides who we may talk to — family members, referents, or outside providers — through a signed Release of Information, and can change or revoke that permission at any time.
- Our staff are trained on confidentiality, and access to resident information is limited to those who need it to do their jobs.
- We never sell resident, applicant, or family information to anyone.
The full Notice of Privacy Practices describing these rights in detail is provided to every resident during intake.
Information we collect
From website visitors: if you contact us through a form, request information, or subscribe to updates, we collect the details you provide (such as your name, email, and phone number) and basic technical data (such as your browser type and general location) to operate and improve the site.
From applicants, residents, and payers: to provide care and run our programs, we collect the information needed for admission and services — such as contact details, health and recovery history, insurance or payment information, and program records. This information is used only to provide and coordinate care and to operate our program.
Text messaging (SMS)
With your consent, Arch to Freedom may send you text messages related to our services — for example, appointment and program reminders, account or billing notifications, and updates relevant to you or your family member’s care.
- Consent: you opt in by providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts (for example, on a form, in writing, or verbally to our staff). Consent is not a condition of receiving services.
- Message frequency varies depending on your interactions with us.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- To opt out, reply STOP to any message at any time. For help, reply HELP or contact us at the email below.
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or your text-messaging opt-in with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Any sharing of information with a service provider is solely to help us deliver our own messages and services to you.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries, provide and coordinate care, process payments, send the communications you have asked for or consented to, keep our residents and staff safe, meet legal and regulatory obligations, and improve our services.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to run our program and as permitted by law — for example, with trusted service providers who work on our behalf (such as our technology, communications, and payment vendors) under confidentiality obligations; with people or providers you have authorized through a signed release; and where required by law or to address an emergency. We never sell your information.
Cookies & website analytics
Our website may use cookies and standard analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings. These website tools are separate from — and never mixed with — protected resident health information.
How we protect information
We use administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect the information in our care, and we limit access to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe and to meet our obligations under HIPAA and applicable law.
Your rights and choices
You may ask what information we hold about you, request corrections, opt out of marketing or text messages, and — for residents — exercise the rights described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, including access to your records and control over releases of information. Contact us using the details below and we will help.
Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through our website.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised, and the current version will always be posted on this page.
