Collins Carey

Collins Carey serves as a Recovery Advocate and Case Manager at Arch To Freedom, where he was a resident himself when he finally found happiness in sobriety. Born in New York City and raised outside of Baltimore, Maryland, Collins graduated from Brown University, where he played lacrosse and won two Ivy League Titles. After college, Collins moved to Washington, DC to begin a career in politics, working on political campaigns for the 2010 and 2012 election cycles. After a brief stint in politics, Collins transitioned to a successful career in the financial world, spending the next 13 years working as an analyst for venture capital firms, franchise organizations, and small businesses with a focus on growth and expansion.

After a long struggle with addiction, Collins finally realized he had a problem and started trying to get sober in his mid-30s. However, his first handful of attempts at getting sober failed when he could not find a sustained sense of purpose and happiness in his sobriety. It wasn’t until January 2025 when he decided to pack up his car and drive from DC to Florida to become a resident at Arch To Freedom that the tides started to turn in his battle with addiction. As a resident at the Keystone House, Collins dove into the program, participating in case management and taking advantage of all the support Arch To Freedom had to offer. It was during this time that Collins finally found happiness in sobriety through working with and helping other addicts and alcoholics. This profound realization led Collins to decide he wanted to pursue a career in recovery, and he is incredibly grateful to have been given the opportunity to begin that career at the place where he finally found his own recovery from addiction.
