SMS Consent & Opt-In

Effective July 1, 2026 · Version 1.1

This page describes how individuals and families consent to receive text messages (SMS) from Arch to Freedom, the exact language shown when they opt in, and the disclosures that apply to our messaging program. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

Our SMS program

With your consent, Arch to Freedom may send you text messages related to our services — for example, appointment and program reminders, and account or billing notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of receiving any of our services.

How you opt in

There are exactly two ways to opt in to text messages from Arch to Freedom. In both cases you actively provide your mobile number and check a box or sign to agree — we never add a number without your consent. The consent language is identical in both places, and matches the wording below word-for-word.

1. Website form (online consent checkbox)

When you fill out the contact form at archtofreedom.org/contact-us/ or complete our online admission application and provide your mobile number, you may check an unchecked-by-default consent box that reads:

“I agree to receive text messages from Arch to Freedom (appointment and program reminders, account and billing notifications). Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not required to receive services.”

Arch to Freedom will not share or sell your mobile number or opt-in data with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy: archtofreedom.org/privacy-policy.

The box is unchecked by default, and submitting the form without checking it does not enroll you in text messages. Below is the consent checkbox exactly as it appears to you on the form:

2. In-person written consent (signed agreement at intake)

You may also opt in by signing our written agreement in person during admission or intake. The consent language on that form is identical to the checkbox above. The step-by-step process is:

  • A staff member hands you the intake agreement (on paper or on a tablet for e-signature).
  • You read the Text Message (SMS) Consent paragraph, which appears in its own bordered section on the form.
  • If you agree, you sign and date on the lines directly beneath that paragraph. Leaving it unsigned means you will not receive text messages, and does not affect your services.
  • Staff file the signed form, and your consent is recorded in our management system — including the value (opted in), the date, the exact consent text you agreed to, and the source (in-person signed agreement).
