Scotty Lewis

Scotty Lewis serves as a Care Advocate at Arch to Freedom, where he finds purpose in helping individuals achieve their goals and recognizing the progress they make — not only individually, but together as a community within each house. His approach is grounded in lived experience, empathy, compassion, and the belief that sometimes recovery means simply being willing to walk alongside someone while they find their way forward.

Scotty grew up in Los Angeles, California, and now calls Florida home. Before entering the recovery field, he spent 20 years in restaurant management and another 10 years in automotive sales, bringing decades of experience working with people from all walks of life. His own life experiences have given him a unique perspective on second chances, personal growth, and rebuilding a life. Having experienced significant challenges throughout his own journey, including incarceration, he understands that a person’s past does not have to determine their future. His priorities today are simple: stay sober, help others, and be there for his four children and grandchildren.

Outside of work, Scotty enjoys fishing, following his hometown Los Angeles Dodgers, attending church, participating in H&I meetings, and carrying the message of recovery into correctional facilities. As for his future plans? In Scotty’s own words: “I’m retired — what are we talking about?” His real plan is to continue enjoying life, staying sober, taking care of his family, and helping others along the way.
